Isn't satellite internet slow and laggy?
That reputation comes from older geostationary satellite services, where the satellite sits roughly 22,000 miles up and the round-trip delay makes video calls and anything real-time genuinely painful. Modern low-earth-orbit satellite internet uses satellites a few hundred miles up instead, cutting that latency dramatically — close enough to a fixed-line connection that video calls, cloud software and everyday business use all work comfortably.
