Satellite internet
Reliable internet for the sites nothing else reaches
Business-grade satellite internet for sites fibre and mobile networks haven't reached — rural offices, remote sites and anywhere else a cable was never going to arrive.
What it is
Plain-English, no jargon
Satellite internet gets a fast connection to sites that fibre, cable and even mobile networks simply haven't reached — a remote farm office, a rural site, or a temporary location miles from the nearest exchange. Using low-earth-orbit satellite technology, it delivers speeds and latency close to a fixed-line connection, a step-change from the old geostationary satellite services that made video calls painful. We handle the dish installation, alignment and setup, and back it with the same business-grade support and monitoring as every other connection we install.

Built for businesses like yours
Rural & remote sites
Any size
Reliable internet where fibre build-out and mobile coverage both fall short.
Agriculture & land-based businesses
Any size
Connectivity for farm offices, sensors and equipment far from any exchange.
Temporary & construction sites
Any size
Fast connectivity for a site office with no existing infrastructure at all.
Critical backup connections
Any size
A completely independent backup path that doesn't rely on local fibre or mobile masts at all.
What's included
Everything comes as standard
Low-earth-orbit technology
Far lower latency than older geostationary satellite services.
Fixed-line-comparable speed
Fast enough for video calls, cloud tools and everyday business use.
Professional dish installation
Sited and aligned properly by our engineers, not a DIY setup.
Business-grade support
The same monitoring and fault response as our fibre and leased line customers get.
Fast deployment
Often live within a week or two, without waiting on any groundworks.
Works as primary or backup
A standalone connection, or an independent failover for a site with another line.

Isn't satellite internet slow and laggy?
That reputation comes from older geostationary satellite services, where the satellite sits roughly 22,000 miles up and the round-trip delay makes video calls and anything real-time genuinely painful. Modern low-earth-orbit satellite internet uses satellites a few hundred miles up instead, cutting that latency dramatically — close enough to a fixed-line connection that video calls, cloud software and everyday business use all work comfortably. It's not a replacement for fibre where fibre is available, but for a site with no other option, it's a world away from the old service.

Our support promise
No call centres. No scripts. Just people who know your setup.
Every fault gets a real response within minutes, not a ticket number. If something needs an engineer on site, we're usually there the same or next working day — because we're based in Kent, not a national call centre.
“Our site office is in a field with no fibre and barely a mobile signal. Satellite internet from Green Star has been the first properly reliable connection we've ever had out there.”

FAQs
About this service
Will it work at my rural site?
Almost certainly — low-earth-orbit satellite coverage is near-universal across the UK. We'll confirm line-of-sight requirements for your specific location before install.
How is it installed?
A dish is mounted with a clear view of the sky, typically on a roof or pole, and connected to a router inside — our engineers handle the full install and alignment.
Is it affected by bad weather?
Heavy rain or snow can occasionally cause brief signal degradation, but modern satellite internet is designed to handle typical UK weather with minimal disruption.
Can I use it as a backup rather than my main connection?
Yes — because it doesn't rely on local fibre or mobile infrastructure at all, it's one of the most resilient backup options available.
How quickly can it be installed?
Most installs are completed within one to two weeks of ordering, once equipment and a suitable mounting position are confirmed.
Is there a data limit?
Plans are available with generous or unlimited data depending on how the connection will be used — we'll size it during your quote.
